Sullivans IslandElementary School
Over one acre of high ground on Dewees Island overlooking Lake Timicau to the open Atlantic. This property features a fresh-water wetland, high maritime forest, two building sites, full utilities and backs to the island wildlife area. It's on the undeveloped end of the island near land designated as forever wild, and across a sand lane from a shore- and wading-bird sanctuaryfunded by Ducks Unlimited and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. The property includes loblolly pines, live oaks, laurel oaks, American and yaupon holly, and sable palms. The roar of the surf is clear and loud as are the hoots of the hoot owls throughout the night. Topographical, tree and wetlands surveys are complete and included. This is one of the most magical spots on the Eastern Seaboard.
